2023 Annual General Meeting – Friday 2nd February

Role descriptions:

President – Chairs board meetings. Sets goals and objectives with the board and ensures they are met. Casts vote at meetings in the event of a tie. Helps write and edit procedures and documents, organises and runs events. Serves as the contact for board issues. Coordinates with SCA.

Treasurer – Handles the finances for the board. Reconciles bank accounts and produces financial statements at monthly board meetings and the AGM. Votes during meetings.

Secretary – Schedule regular board meetings. Record and distribute board meeting minutes. Maintain accurate records ensuring that all critical documents are organized, safely stored, and readily accessible to other board members. This officer will need knowledge of policies and procedures based on these documents, including key governing and operating processes that the board approves. Oversee membership lists. Ensure contact information is up-to-date. Votes during meetings.

Board Members – Listen, learn, contribute, discuss, provide insight. Occasionally complete tasks or investigations before the next meeting. Votes during meetings.
A Social Media manager will be appointed from the Board Members. This role oversees the administration of the SCSA Facebook and Instagram pages and the SCSA website.

All the above board roles may be required to help with editing procedures and documents and organising and assisting in running events.
